Opis zdjęcia
Zdjęcie zrobione nad jeziorem Goeland w prowincji Quebec. Cieciornik (Bonasa umbellus), ptak z rodziny głuszcowatych. O niezwykle pstrej szacie, osiąga 50 cm długości ciała. Występuje w Ameryce Północnej. Zamieszkuje zalesione obszary Alaski, Kanady i północnych stanów USA, preferując gęsto zakrzewione doliny rzek i jezior z olchami i wierzbami. Odżywia się nasionami, jagodami i innymi częściami roślin oraz drobnymi bezkręgowcami. Podczas toków samiec przywabia samice wprawiając skrzydła w bardzo szybkie drgania i uderzając nimi o boki ciała powoduje powstawanie dźwięku przypominającego dudniący grzmot. Samica gniazduje na ziemi w ukryciu, wśród gęstych paproci i zwisających gałęzi. Ten rzadki i płochliwy ptak... w Ameryce jest wysoko cenionym ptakiem łownym. … // Proszę oglądać w F/S.. zrównoważy to kadr _ a obraz stanie się wyrazisty..
