Kamienica przy ulicy Waliców 14 zbudowana została w XIX wieku. W czasie okupacji niemieckiej była częścią getta żydowskiego. Na małym fragmencie wschodniej strony ulicy zachowały się trzy budynki. Mieszkali tutaj żydowski poeta piszący po polsku Władysław Szlengel - Kronikarz Tonących, który opisywał życie w getcie żydowskim oraz znany fotograf, dziennikarz i śpiewak operowy Menachem Kipnis, który zajmował się również zbieraniem i dokumentowaniem tradycyjnej muzyki żydowskiej. Po likwidacji \\"małego\\" getta w 1943 r. ukrywała się w nim grupa Żydów, między innymi dr Edward Reicher. Czas wojny przetrwały jedynie oficyny. Główny budynek uległ zniszczeniu najprawdopodobniej od bomby lotniczej. Na wprost kamienicy znajduje się mur, który w latach 1940 - 1942 był granicą getta żydowskiego. Dnia 29.09.1944 r. oddziały ukraińskie zaatakowały stanowiska bat. AK \\"Sowiński\\" przy ulicy Waliców i Ceglanej (Pereca). Eksplozja GOLIATA zburzyła front budynku na ulicy Waliców 14. Atak został odparty.
