Wschód Księżyca 1 lipca 2008, faza: 49 godzin przed nowiem. Cofnijmy się 4,5 miliarda lat wstecz w historii Ziemi. Księżyc jeszcze nie istnieje. Planeta wielkości Marsa jest na kursie kolizyjnym z Ziemią. Nazwaliśmy ją Teją. Zbliżająca się Teja stanowi przerażający widok. Planety są coraz bliżej. Pola grawitacyjne obu planet rozrywają ich zewnętrzne skorupy . Potem dochodzi do kolizji. Uderzenie wyrywa z Ziemi fragmenty wielkości kontynentów. Atmosfera wokół płonącej Ziemi jest pełna skalnego gruzu. Grawitacja naszej planety ściąga większość pyłu i skał. Inne, uwięzione na ziemskiej orbicie tworzą niezwykły pierścień. W wyniku akrecji biliony ton pyłu i luźnych skał utworzyły z czasem jedną rozgrzaną kulę materii. Tak powstał nasz Księżyc. Prawdopodobnie trzeba dodać. Nowego znaczenia nabierają więc słowa N. Warwarowa, który nazwał Księżyc Siódmym Kontynentem. Polecam na PE
