IC5070, a w zasadzie jej fragment to obszar znacznie większego obiektu zwanego Ameryką. Znaleźć go można w letniej konstelacji Łabędzia. Światło zarejestrowane przez sensor leciało sobie zaledwie 2000 lat (od czasów chrystusowych) i taka jest właśnie odległość tego obiektu od Ziemi. Jest to jeden z piękniejszycy (wg mnie) obszarów nocnego nieba - a z punku widzenia fotograficznego - jeden z bardziej dramatycznych pejzaży. Tym zdjęciem chciałbym rozpocząć serię fotografii stricte astronomicznych. Przedstawić Wam piękną pasję, którą jest astronomia, a w szczególności astrofotografia. Z technicznego punktu widzenia, zdjęcie powstało w moim podwarszawskim obserwatorium. Światło zbierane było przez kilka nocy - w sumie ponad 730 min. ekspozycji. Linie emisyjne Wodoru, Tlenu i Siarki zostały przedstawione w formie wizualnej, jako kanały RGB.
