...czyli ptak zarazy (dosłownie dżumy): Ponieważ docierają do tej części Europy raz na kilka lat, gdy brakuje im pożywienia na północy, uznawane były za zwiastunów wojny i pomoru. W dzisiejszych czasach straciły tę niechlubną nazwę i znane są jako "Seidenschwanz", czyli "Jedwabny ogon". W tym roku przygnała je tu ostra zima, a kilkadziesiąt z nich zostało znalezionych martwych w pobliżu autostrady. Zaniepokojeni mieszkańcy zaalarmowali urząd weterynaryjny obawiając się wybuchu ptasiej grypy, jednak po przeprowadzeniu sekcji ustalono, że... Ptaki w stanie upojenia alkoholowego pozabijały się o szklane ściany chroniące przed hałasem. Niektóre z nich miały typowo dla nałogowych alkoholików powiększone wątroby... Ptactwo opychało się owocami fermentującymi na tutejszych krzewach. (Zdjęcia użyłem wyłącznie dla ilustracji opowiedzianej za wiedeńskim "Kurierem" historii, więc proszę bez ocen...
