Wreck of the Hans Egede The remains of a Danish 3 mast ship built in 1922. During the 1950\'s it had been moored in the Medway / Thames estuary and being used as a hulk for the storage of coal or grain. Following a change of ownership, attempts were made to tow her upriver to Cubits Town, but she began to let in water and ran aground on Blythe Sands. To clear the waterway she was pulled ashore and beached.
