Salem Express - był jednym z promów kursujących z pielgrzymami pomiędzy portem Safaga, a saudyjskim portem Jeddah. 16 grudnia 1991 roku po zakończonym Ramadanie ,prom wracał z Arabii Saudyjskiej z ponad 400 pasażerami na pokładzie. Niektóre źródła podają, że mogło ich być nawet dwa razy tyle. Kapitan Moro był na mostku i jako jedyny z wielu kapitanów skracał podróż o 2 godziny lawirując pomiędzy rafami Handymana. Jednak tej nocy, przy sztormowej pogodzie statek zahaczył o jedną z raf i zaczął nabierać ogromne ilości wody przez uszkodzony wjazd dla pojazdów. 20 minut później całkowicie pogrążył się w morzu. Spoczywa na głębokości 32 m na lewej burcie. Uratowało się 180 osób , gdzie wycieńczonych znajdowano na brzegu, niektóre żródła podają, ze liczne stado delfinów pomagało ratować rozbitków utrzymując ich ciała na powierzchni ...

tak, masz racje... na swoje wytłumaczenie dodam,ze chyba nikt nie jest w stanie zrobić w pełni satysfakcjonującego zdjęcia pod wodą płynąc w grupe bez mozliwości większych manewrów... musiałabym udać sie na takie wojaże podwodne z fotografującymi... chyba wszyscy znamy to z autopsji chociażby na powierzchni :-)
Mam bardzo przyjemne wspomnienia z tego wraku. Jest bardzo fotogeniczny :). Jednak to zdjęcie pozostawia niedosyt. \"Zderzenie\" nurków wprowadza bałagan w kadrze.
