It is said that Bavaria's King Lugwig II had a fixation on Richard Wagner. He had an artifically carved cave with stalagmites and stalactites and an underground waterfall built to serve as an ideal setting for Wagner\'s "Tannhause". In the photograph you can see a boat in the shape of a huge shell and on the rock in the background is an enormous painting of Tannhauser's Venus scene.
