U Bein\\\'s Bridge (The Taung-Tha-Man Bridge) \"Budowa została rozpoczęta w 1849 roku. Drewno zostało pozyskane ze starego pałacu i z opuszczonych domów. Biorąc pod uwagę wiatry i duże fale występujące na jeziorze architekci zaprojektowali most po delikatnym łuku, aby łatwiej znosił panujące tu trudne warunki pogodowe. Każdy z 1086 słupów został wbity na głębokość około 2 metrów w dno jeziora oraz został wyposażony w 2 podpory. Mamy 482 przęsła, 4 drewniane pawilony stworzone dla ochrony przed palącym słońcem oraz 9 miejsc w których można w łatwy sposób podnieść grubą (złożoną z 9 warstw desek) podłogę, aby mogły tędy przepłynąć łodzie wojenne oraz Royal Barge Pyi Gyi Mon.
