Koniunkcja "młodego" Księżyca z planetą Wenus, 16 kwietnia 2010, godz. 21.33 CSE. Faza Księżyca- 54 godziny po nowiu, faza Wenus- blisko pełni. Wenus zbliża się do Ziemi bardziej niż jakakolwiek inna planeta. Gdy znajduje się pomiędzy Słońcem a ziemskim globem, jest od nas oddalona o "zaledwie" 41 milionów kilometrów. Jej gęste obłoki w grubej atmosferze silnie odbijają światło słoneczne powodując, że blask tej pięknej planety jest niezwykle jasny. W maksimum blasku lśni ponad 20 razy jaśniej niż Syriusz, najjaśniejsza gwiazda na nocnym niebie. Już nawet przez niewielki instrument optyczny łatwo zauważyć fazy Wenus, podobne do księżycowych , z tą drobną różnicą, że pełen cykl faz Wenus trwa aż 584 dni ! Dwusekundowa ekspozycja pozwoliła zarejestrować również światło popielate Księżyca, natomiast intensywnie czerwone zabarwienie atmosfery tuż nad horyzontem, to wynik rozpraszania światła słonecznego przez pył z wulkanu Eyjafjallajokull .
