Dworek Administratora został wzniesiony na tykocińskim Nowym Mieście w XVIII w. z fundacji Jana Klemensa Branickiego i wraz z zespołem innych budynków stanowił ośrodek handlu zbożem. Budowla ta kontynuowała funkcje powstałego wcześniej, w 1571 r., w tym samym miejscu, Nowego Dworca. Tę wcześniejszą budowlę zrealizował dla króla Zygmunta Augusta, budowniczy zamku tykocińskiego Job Preyfus. Stąd administrowano podlaskim dziedzictwem króla, jego państwem knyszyńsko-tykocińskim, które ten monarcha ukochał, gdzie też zmarł. Nowy Dworzec był obiektem spotkań humanistów, ludzi kultury. W czasach Ostatniego Jagiellona w 1572 r. zamieszkiwał tu znakomity humanista, poeta i starosta tykociński Łukasz Górnicki. Bywali u niego Maciej Strubicz, kartograf królewski, Piort Fizyk z Poznania, medyk królewski, Job Preytfus architekt, Jan Bukowski, namiestnik dozorujący arrasy, a nawet Jan Kochanowski i wielu innych. Nowy Dworzec po zniszczeniu w 1656 r., w trakcie wojen doby potopu, odbudowano. Jest to dworkowy typ budowli, z ryzalitami w elewacji frontowej oraz alkierzami od strony rzeki. Obecnie w Dworku Administratora znajduje się Tykociński Dom Kultury.
