Nr. 472. Projekt tej niezwykłej, ceglanej świątyni, zaskakującej zarówno rozmiarami jak i oryginalnym kształtem stworzył w 1913 r Peder Vilhelm Jansen Klint. Wysoka na 49 m należy do największych świątyń duńskiego modernizmu. Wybudowano ją w latach 1921-1940 na najwyższym wzgórzu Kopenhagi na przedmieściu Bisperbjerg z funduszy zabranych wśród miejscowego społeczeństwa; czcząc w ten sposób pamięć wybitnego pastora, teologa i filozofa; Nicolaja Frederika Sewerina Grundtviga (1783-1872). Zasłynął on jako twórca Uniwersytetów Ludowych, umożliwiających dostęp do oświaty osobom z najniższych warstw społecznych. Architektura kościoła nawiązuje do tej formy działalności pastora przypominając proste, wiejskie kościoły. Z kolei zwieńczenie wieży kościelnej przypomina swą formą organy ; jest to aluzja do tworzonych przez Grundtviga pieśni religijnych.
