Prawosławny monaster męski św. Onufrego (zwany Jabłoczyńskim Monastyrem) stanowi enklawę miejscowości, położonej przy samej granicy. Przez wiele stuleci klasztor leżał zresztą na prawym brzegu rzeki; na lewym, a dzięki temu i w dzisiejszych granicach Polski, znalazł się dopiero po przesunięciu koryta w drugiej połowie XIX wieku. Według legendy monaster powstał w miejscu, gdzie zatrzymała się niesiona Bugiem ikona św. Onufrego. Dokładna data założenia nie jest znana, choć istniał z pewnością w XV w., a sto lat później należała do niego wielka własność ziemska. W 1596 r. manaster nie przyjął unii brzeskiej. W XIX w. zajął wyjątkową pozycję jako jedyny w Królestwie Polskim zachowujący ciągłość od czasów Rzeczypospolitej monaster ruski.
