Opis zdjęcia
Wąsosz to dawne miasto, obecnie wieś będąca siedzibą gminy. Interesująca jest etymologia nazwy wsi, ale chyba to zdjęcie nie jest najlepszą ilustracją do przedstawienia etymologii nazwy miejscowości. Tutaj barokowy kościół karmelitów trzewiczkowych z 1605 r., fundacji Andrzeja Rogali, murowany, spalony w 1710 r., remontowany w XVIII i XIX wieku. W krypcie znajdują się dwie trumny z dobrze zachowanymi zwłokami. W jednej z nich, według tradycji, znajdują się zwłoki Jana Rzędziana, powieściowego pachołka Jana Skrzetuskiego, a później dzierżawcy starostwa wąsoskiego. W drugiej trumnie znajdują się rzekome szczątki panny młodej zmarłej w dniu ślubu.
