Po drugiej stronie izby stoi zegar, zatrzymany w godzinie jej śmierci. Zmarła ma w rękach Pismo Święte oraz monetę. Moneta ma być opłatą za przejście na tamten świat. Zmarłą ubrano na tyle, na ile było to możliwe w części garderoby weselnej. Fragmenty stroju z jej własnego ślubu mają symbolizować czystość, niewinność, oraz mają pomóc w przejściu na tamten świat. Przy marach stoją dwie gromnice, które palić się będą całą noc, przez czas czuwania przy zwłokach. Na stole stoi krucyfiks.
