Istniejacy obecnie pobernardyński zespół klasztorny, wzniesiony w latach 1771 - 1790 na południowym krańcu miasta przy ul. Klasztornej był trzecią z kolei tykocińską siedzibą Ojców Bernardynów, sprowadzonych w 1479 r. przez Marcina Gasztołda. Pierwotny, nieistniejacy dziś murowany klasztor z kościołem znajdował się na kępie narwiańskiej przy przeprawie. Po przeniesieniu się zakonników do nowej siedziby stary klasztor zostal przeznaczony na pomieszczenie sądów ziemskich. Osiemnastowieczny klasztor jest budowlą murowaną, trójskrzydłową, piętrową, z obszernym dziedzińcem i bramą wjazdową, usytuowaną na osi symetrycznego założenia. Widokowo i komunikacyjnie łączy się z centrum miasta ulicą Bernardyńską. Po 1864 r. klasztor, objęty kasatą, dostał się w ręce prywatne. Odzyskany po II wojnie światowej przez Kurię Biskupią w Łomży, pełnił funkcję domu dla emerytowanych księży diecezjalnych. Obecnie klasztor jest siedzibą Domu Pomocy Społecznej "Caritas".
