Cerkiew w Bałuciance to niewielka świątynia drewniana, trójdzielna (prezbiterium, nawa, babiniec) o konstrukcji zrębowej, wieża o konstrukcji słupowej, z pochyłymi ścianami, pokrytymi blachą - nie posiada tak typowej dla innych wież cerkiewnych - izbicy. Jak większość cerkwi na Łemkowszczyźnie, prezbiterium ma skierowane w kierunku wschodnim (cerkiew orientowana). Dach o konstrukcji namiotowej z małymi wieżyczkami, nad nawą i prezbiterium nie ma charakterystycznych barokowych hełmów a jedynie zrębowe, nietypowe 8-polowe zwieńczenia.
