Greckokatolicka cerkiew parafialna p.w. św. Dymitra w Piątkowej (dawniej Piątkowa Ruska) usytuowana jest około 100 m od głównej drogi, w pobliżu budynku leśniczówki, za potokiem Jawornik. Napis wycięty cyrylicą na nadprożu głównych drzwi głosi: Oddaje się tą cerkiew Roku Bożego 1732. Taką datę przyjmuje się za rok budowy cerkwi, chociaż spotyka się głosy twierdzące, że być może chodzi tutaj tylko o przebudowę. Piątkowska świątynia jest jednym z najpiękniejszych obiektów sakralnych na terenie Polski południowo-wschodniej. Drewniana, konstrukcji zrębowej, trójdzielna. Wszystkie trzy części na planie kwadratu, zwieńczone cebulastymi kopułami, wspartymi na ośmiobocznych bębnach. Nawa obszerniejsza od babińca i prezbiterium. Ściany cerkwi obwiedzione charakterystycznym opasaniem (tzw. sobotami), wspartym na otynkowanych, kamiennych słupach. Podczas remontu w latach 1958-1961 nie odtworzono, istniejącego pierwotnie, podcienia od strony wschodniej. Ściany powyżej opasania i wszystkie połacie dachowe pobite gontem. Na północ od świątyni pozostałości cmentarza z kilkoma zachowanymi nagrobkami. Plac cerkiewny otoczony, mocno zniszczonym, niskim kamiennym murkiem, z bramą od zachodu. Wokół kilka starych drzew
