Murowany, jednokondygnacyjny budynek, fundacji starosty tykocińskiego, marszałka wielkiego litewskiego Krzysztofa Wiesiołowskiego, wzniesiony w latach 1633-1636 jako przytułek dla wysłużonych oficerów, założony na planie czworoboku, z wewnętrznym dziedzińcem, posiadał dawniej dwie wieże od strony rzeki. Kształtem architektonicznym nawiązuje do tradycji zamku, mocno zakorzenionej w budownictwie świeckim. Jednotraktowe skrzydła mieściły pierwotnie 12 sklepionych izb oraz kaplicę. Podlegał bezpośrednio królowi, a w jego zastępstwie hetmanowi wielkiemu koronnemu. Pozostawał na utrzymaniu starostów, a następnie kolejnych właścicieli dóbr tykocińskich, pełniąc swą funkcję do czasów I wojny światowej. Przebudowany w połowie XVIII w. i włączony w układ kompozycyjny rynku, zyskał cechy budowli późnobarokowej. W okresie międzywojennym, zarządzany przez magistrat miasta, użytkowany był jako mieszkanie dla najuboższych rodzin. Po II wojnie światowej, został przeznaczony na cele turystyczne.
