Nr. 273 Prezentuję kolelny kadr z cyklu \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"OKRUCHY MIASTA\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\". Tym razem dach, dach rezydencji fabrykanta łódzkiego Izaaka Poznańskiego ........ Fragment ten wieńczy część narożną pałacu od strony skrzyżowania ul. Ogrodowej i Zachodniej (dawniej Stodolnianej)... Pałac zaprojektowany był pierwotnie jako oparta o wzorce renesansu francuskiego budowla o charakterze reprezentacyjno - handlowym i mieszkalnym. Autorem założenia był architekt miasta Hilary Majewski. Nie zostało ono jednak w pełni zrealizowane. Pałac uzyskał swą obecną formę w wyniku przebudowy w 1898 roku według projektu Juliusza (?) Junga i Dawida Rosenthala i dalszej rozbudowy, przeprowadzonej w latach 1901-1903 ( po śmierci Izraela Poznańskiego 18. 04.1900 r.). Wystrój sal pałacu jest eklektyczny i nawiązuje do stylów drugiej połowy XIX wieku przy jednoczesnym zastosowaniu dekoracji secesyjnej. W korpusie głównym, który pełnił funkcje reprezentacyjne i oficjalne, poza dużą jadalnią i salą balową, na piętrze znajdowały się saloniki, a na parterze, w pawilonie połączonym bezpośrednio z Pałacem, pomieszczenia biurowe i giełdowe. W skrzydle bocznym na dole mieściły się magazyny wyrobów gotowych, a na piętrze - apartament mieszkalny, pokoje gościnne oraz - przykryty szklanymi kopułami - ogród zimowy.
