Świątynia drewniana, powstała jako cerkiew unicka w 1709 r. z fundacji Marka Antoniego Butlera, starosty drohickiego. W latach 1839-1890 świątynia była we władaniu prawosławnych. Nieużytkowana od 1890 roku, po wybudowaniu obok murowanej cerkwi prawosławnej, Po I wojnie światowej cerkiew został włączona w skład prawosławnej parafii pw. Opieki Matki Bożej w Czarnej Cerkiewnej. Po odzyskaniu niepodległości w 1923 roku świątynię zwrócono katolikom i dokonano stosownej adaptacji. Obiekt jest orientowany, konstrukcji zrębowej. Korpus trzynawowy o narożach ściętych od zachodu, prezbiterium wydzielone, dwuczłonowe, w części wschodniej węższe, zamknięte dwubocznie, z zakrystią i składzikiem po bokach. Dach dwuspadowy kryty blachą. Wnętrze podzielone na nawy słupami, kryte stropem, nad nawą środkową koszowo wyokrąglonym. Od zachodu korpus zamyka chór muzyczny na dwóch słupach.
