Zdjęcie robione 2006.12.12 na rafie Rick\'s Reef. Christmass tree worm (to tak żeby było świątecznie :D) jak nazwa wskazuje jest "robakiem" - o ile mi się udało sprawdzić należy do gromady wieloszczetów. Wykazują się dużą różnorodnościa jeśli idzie o kolowy i wbrew temu co może sugerować nazwa, są dosyć małe. Ten okaz miał około 3cm średnicy. Christmass tree worm prowadzą osiadły tryb życia - budują rurkę przytwierdzoną do podłoża a na zewnątrz wystawiają jedynie "choinki" (stąd nazwa) które służą do chwytania pokarmu. Wydają się być obiektem stosunkowo łatwym do sfotografowania (bo się nie ruszają), ale jest to złudzenie, bowiem nieostrożny ruch może spowodować, że całość błyskawicznie chowa się do rurki. Na ogół też reagują tak samo na błysk lampy, więc mamy szansę tylko na jedno ujęcie. EOS 5D, 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM, f/5.6, 1/125, ISO 100 plus 2x Ikelite DS125 w trybie TTL.
