Kontynuacja moich opowiadań. Na południe od Meksyku, w górach, leży \'srebrne miasto\' - Taxco. Miasteczko bogate; od czasów prehiszpańskich wydobywa się tutaj srebro i złoto, a wyroby są znane na całym świecie. Są piękne i... drogie. Kolonialne białe budyneczki kryte czerwoną dachówką i wąskie uliczki tworzą niezapomniany klimat. Gwar, sprzedawcy sombrero, zapach wszechobecnej tortilli, smak chilli, śmigające garbusy (wszystkie bardzo nowe ponieważ w fabryce ww produkcji zapszestano dopiero w 2001 r.), porządek i czystość ulic, jednocześnie bałagan zabudowy, strome uliczki, tubylcy, turyści, benzyna, wilgoć i upał - symbol kolonialnego bogactwa Meksyku.
