Andrejs Zavadskis

The LKFA title of 2009 — a field of 43 photographers and 182 images, winners announced in February 2010 — named me Latvia's Wedding Photographer of the Year. I am Andrejs Zavadskis: a Latvian photographer in Riga, shooting since 2004 in more than 50 countries. Weddings became my education in human behaviour: a wedding cannot be repeated, faces change in a split second and emotions unfold without direction, so I learned to anticipate rather than react. ProPortfolio.pro, launched in 2026, comes from a lesson of commercial work: the right model, stylist, makeup artist or studio can fundamentally change the outcome of a production. My automotive work spans desert dust at the 2020 Dakar Rally to the floodlit Formula 1 street circuit in Singapore in 2024, plus Gumball 3000 on five occasions. What started as one Forbes USA assignment became a series of at least five credited features on billionaires, investors and tech executives. Clients have included LMT, Rimi, Nike, Nordea and airBaltic. Couples are welcome too: wedding and destination wedding days get the full editorial attention as any commission. Four years with Playboy Latvia (some 25 issues) shaped my studio lighting, styling and direction of people.
